Casa Oro has been serving backpackers since 2001. It was built by and for backpackers, putting San Juan del Sur within the reach of every traveler's pocket. Its ideal position in the center of town and just one block from the sea, makes it a perfect place to explore San Juan del Sur and its surroundings.
Casa Oro is a classic Nicaraguan house with Spanish style influence, built in the time of La Fiebre del Oro. Remodeled and converted into a hostel at the beginning of the 2000 millennium. When you enter the Casa Oro reception you will be welcomed by our friendly collaborators who They will welcome you in Spanish, English, French and German. Inside you will find the reception and the INFORMATION and ADVENTURE CENTER. Depending on the time you arrive, you will see surfers carrying their boards to ride on the shuttle to the beach or a group of sun-tanned travelers having a cold beer and watching the latest movie released in DVD format on the 42 ”flat screen TV. . Passing the lobby, the house opens onto an interior patio, a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and, of course, hammocks for your nap. Once up the second floor you will find the Tortuga and Coco bedrooms. Around the inner courtyard are the Maderas, Majagual bedrooms and our private rooms, all equipped as if a traveler arranged it! Many describe us as having "the best mattresses in all of Central America."
Casa Oro employees receive training in customer service and are there to make sure you enjoy your stay.
