El Timón was founded by Don René Granja Calderón and his wife Doña Frida Fajardo, both citizens of San Juan del Sur. With more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant business, the Granjas have turned El Timón restaurant into the ideal place to taste the best fried fish and seafood in San Juan del Sur. Now, the administration is in charge of his children but he continues to be the watchful eye of Don René. Este and Doña Frida have left their children optimism, warmth, dedication and determination to achieve excellence in the services and products that each visitor seeks in his experience in San Juan del Sur.

Enjoy our varied offer of ceviches, lobsters, shrimp, squid, clams, octopus, the delicious fish fillets accompanied with the exquisite house sauce and more. Meats are not far behind. Vegetarians also have their place at El Timón. We prepare the best salads and vegetarian dishes in the Port.
